Epworth Preschool, located in Rehoboth Beach, has been known as one of the most successful, reputable and respected early childhood programs in the community since 1987. We have been voted “Best Preschool Downstate” by readers of Delaware Today Magazine and we are celebrating our 38th year in 2025!
We are a ministry of Epworth United Methodist Church and incorporate devotions into our curriculum through age-appropriate songs, games and stories. Children say grace before snack time and begin and end their day with poems/prayers.
At Epworth Preschool, our goal is to provide a positive, safe and age-appropriate learning experience for each individual child. Our approach is hands-on teaching through art, free play, gross motor skills, outdoor activities, dramatic play and age-appropriate science and math activities. Children graduate from our program with exceptional kindergarten readiness skills and a strong foundation for their future educational experiences.

Betsy has been involved with Epworth Preschool since 1992, first as a lead teacher and now as the director. She has a Liberal Arts degree from Wesley College and a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson State University.
